Homesick
Journal Entry: Wed May 14, 2008, 9:09 AM
Sometimes I hate living in the city, or at least here in Belgium. In Oslo I could take a walk around the nearby lake, or go by bike to another nearby lake (somewhat further away though) and swim. I miss nature, I miss threes and plants and birds and other animals. I miss to have city life and nature in one and the same city. Here there is a lake, about 20 kilometers outside Leuven, and it is always packed with people. Then they have forest, but that's in a park so it closes at night (in the summer a bit later than in the winter, but they still close it).
I'm tired of cars and buses, I'm tired of construction works and concrete. I need somewhere to relax, somewhere to go for long and solitary strolls and still be in the city. I need somewhere where there are flowers to pick and trees to climb in, and grass to lay down on.
I need Oslo.
